My first Painting

Hi and we have had another sunny day, what a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.  But back to school for Skye and all her friends tomorrow, she is looking forward to it and has had so much fun out playing over the Easter Holidays.

I have been very busy crafting with lots of crafty friends, I have had so much fun.  One of the days I had Kirsty over to my house.  I had admired Kirsty's lovely paintings when I had visited her home earlier this year.  She is a fantastic Artist, but would never admit that she was.

My plan was to paint a canvas, but I never got that far.  I was so intrigued by the acrylic doing as it was told, I never got past my first attempt.  It is only painted onto paper and I will paint a canvas very soon, well as soon as I have bought my own acrylics and brushes.

Well anyway here it is...... What do you think?

Well I shall go now and get Skye to bed, I also have to make a condolence card.  Not my favourite card to make.  I shall let you know how I get on.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, I hope the sun is shining where you are.  It is here and we might need the sun cream again today.  Skye had to come home yesterday to get sun cream put on as when she was out playing she felt it a little too hot.

Wow it has been almost a month since I last posted.  I have been in the land of pain and discomfort for a while, although I have managed to make a few little crafty things.  I will post a regular post from now on if I can.

I shall post back later with a card or two I made, but for now I will post two cards I made last week at the Ross Papercraft show at Meadowbank stadium in Edinburgh last weekend.  I got to meet the wonderfully talented Toni Darroch from Crafti Devil "Stamps By Me" and her lovely Husband Tim. www.stampsbyme.co.uk

This first card is using the gorgeous Lillifly stamp by "Stamps by me".  I just love this stamp and have so many plans for it.

This second card is using Toni's new Dress stamp by "Stamps By Me" which will be previewing on Create and Craft soon.  I will be designing some cards for Toni for the show and was so thrilled when she invited me.  Especially as I am very new to the craft world.  It was such an honour to be asked as I just love what the very talented Toni can do with some paper and a couple of stamps.
