Happy Birthday Dad

Happy Birthday to my Dad who has reached the grand old age of 74.  My Dad does fantastically well for his 74 years young and has just came back from his Commonwealth Games audition for the opening and closing ceremonies.  He said he had a fabulous time and a definite highlight.

 To celebrate his Birthday I made him a card and a little notebook.....

My Dad loves his Golf, it helps keep him fit, therefore I had to make a golf themed card.

I like the vintage look at the moment and combined that with some Iris folding of the golf bag.  Iris folding is a technique of folded paper originating in Holland in the 1700's using old envelopes.

My Dad was also very pleased with his card and therefore I was too, let's face it we like to get told our work is good no matter what we do, so I had won my prize :)

Mothers Day cards

I have found how to upload my pics now thank goodness.  It is a little lengthy but worth it.  As promised here is the pics of the Mothers Day card I made yesterday.  I hope you like it.  I love to colour, it takes me to a happy place as a child and I can get lost in colouring for hours.

 I used my large daisy stamp by Stampinks Unlimited and coloured using Spectrum Noirs.  I love blending the colours together to get a more 3D look.
